Clematis Street has become a favorite spot for sports fans. Especially in the fall with the World Series, college and professional football, basketball, rugby and more; there’s no better place to kick back and enjoy the game.
Just about every block of Clematis Street has something for sports fans. If you follow soccer or rugby, you’ll find that O’Shea’s is exceptionally welcoming. Gators flock to Roxy’s, Seminoles to Grease, and if you look hard enough you’ll find a couple Badgers at Hot Pie Pizza enjoying some college football.
If you’re not sure where to go, Duffy’s is the mecca for any and all sports. With over 40 wide-screen TVs you have the option to sit at the bar, outside, at hightops or at a booth to enjoy the atmosphere. With the World Series going on tonight, Bar Louie is also a solid bet.
On Saturday, Miami gave us a thrilling finish that will go down in history, scoring against Duke with EIGHT laterals on a kick-return with six seconds left. On Sunday, the Kansas City Royals came back down two runs in the final inning against the New York Mets, beating them in extras to win the World Series. Tis the season of thrilling moments with crazy catches, big hits and buzzer-beating shots so don’t miss it!
Remember, regardless of which game you watch and where you watch it. On Sunday’s there’s no better place to pre-party than Roxy’s!
If you live in the North End and don’t want to make the trek to Clematis Street, Sports Page Bar and Grill on 25th Street is always a great choice to settle in for a game. Make sure to try the chicken tenders, they are fantastic.
